Today we are going to visit Tinyrex Wrecks' adorable print shop. This shop is so creative and cute! All her drawings have SO much character they are sure to make anyone smile :) She does everything from works of art like below to blankets to cards. Lets show her some love today <3

Time To Strut, A4 Print

Tinyrex says:

This little dandy just loves to strut. 
This is one of a series of cute kids dressed up. This collection mixes my love of cartoons, jaunty birds and animals, and naughty kids. 
They look great on the walls too.

More information about this piece: 

This little peacock wants to strut her stuff and why shouldn't she? (She should really be a peahen but their tails are not so jaunty plus no-one takes a peahen seriously.)

This is a print of an original pen and ink drawing which has been coloured digitally.

The image itself measures approx 22cm (9”) x 16cm (6") and is surrounded by a white border, perfect for framing with enough spare to cut to the size of your frame if need be. 

It is printed on A4 (approx 8”x11”) Archival Matte Paper 192g/m.

Each print will be signed and numbered on the back. She is 1 of 50.

The print will be posted in a cellophane sleeve and a rigid, no-bend mailer.

Colours may vary slightly from their appearance on screen.

Burnt Orange Damask Bird Branch - 11x14 Mixed Media canvas painting

I love using newspaper and magazine clippings in my art! I decided to take one of my more popular items and give it a twist. The background is a warm burnt brown with a faint damask pattern over top. Then, I layered pieces of magazine together to create my bird and branch. I glued the two together and it looks perfect! I love the contrasting black and white with the burnt orange.

Canvas measures 11x14. Edges are painted and staples are hidden in back so this is ready to hang upon arrival.

Item of the Day from Threadsandthings1!

Today's Item of the Day come from Threadsandthings1, this lovely hand made quilt would love to snuggle with you on those rainy days with a book by a window, or those romantic evenings with your significant other. No need to ever store it away! Keep it on the couch or your bed for a beautiful splash of color. Do quilts get better? I think not. Check it out =D

Elegant Patchwork Quilt with Citrus Blocks and Black Sashing

This quilt is made with a wonderful collection of citrus colored blocks that "pop" when surrounded by black sashing. The colors almost make you want to pucker! 
The back is done with the same black and white fabric as used in the border. Actually this quilt looks as beautiful on the back as it does the front. It could easily be reversed for a more sophisticated look. It's like having two quilts in one!
The quilt is 55" wide and 63" long. I used warm and natural for the batting. It is machine quilted in a plume design. The binding was machine stitched onto the front and then hand stitched to the back to finish.
To care for this quilt, wash it on a gentle cycle in cold water, then tumble on low heat or air dry.

Beautiful Weekend

It is lovely out this weekend! I didn't get a chance to make the new cuff yet but I have the design done, I'll try to do that tonight and have it posted Monday. I couldn't help but spend all day outside today =) Its so nice to be out doing yard work, this winter seemed to go on forever.

Taking the Plunge

Ok so here is goes my first blog post EVER. I have to admit I am a little nervous, but it takes risk to get reward so if I want to get noticed I have to get out here!

So I will start with saying that I am a new shop owner, I create jewelry at DazzlingAdornments.Etsy.Com. It is mostly earrings with 55 to choose from right now. I also do bookmarks, cellphone charms, bracelets, necklaces and wine glass charms.

I have to say to all the people that have already made blogs, websites and started companies, and took all you had and put it into your passion, you are very brave and a strong person for doing what truly makes you happy! I have a lot of respect for everyone who is just starting out and who has already succeeded this is a harsh and scary world but when people come together for support and positive criticism we can all make it =)
